Naughty Pasta!

Naughty Pasta- your reward, you deserve this...

Welcome to the latest recipe post from Health, Fitness, Motivation. You remember our recipes for Tasty Beefburgers? Well, we're sure this will sit alongside in terms of taste and energising capability!

As the early summer heat shone down unforgivingly, I mopped my sun beaten brow with my work-worn t-shirt. Ice cool water gushed into my eager mouth. Removing the glass, I sighed, surveying a job well done. The time for toil had passed. Satisfaction with my day's graft was now coupled with the realisation that my wife's Naughty Pasta was on the menu!

Naughty Pasta ready to go

Naughty Pasta: Ingredients

200g of penne pasta
50g of Parma ham
150g of chestnut mushrooms, quartered
100g of yoghurt
50g of double cream
25g of Parmesan cheese
Flora Cuisine
Salt and pepper to taste

Naughty Pasta cooking within the Le Creuset saucepan

Method:
  • Firstly, boil the 200g of penne pasta until firm to the bite, or to the packet information, then drain.
  • Whilst the pasta is cooking, cut the Parma ham into smallish pieces- I cut them into square inch sized pieces or slightly bigger. Having given your saucepan (we use a Le Creuset cast iron 20cm saucepan- expensive yes, but stands the test of time!) a healthy dousing of Flora Cuisine, add the Parma ham and cook until crisp. Then remove from saucepan and sit on a side plate.
  • Add the mushrooms to the saucepan and fry for two minutes.
  • Throw everything together into your Le Creuset saucepan.
  • Gently add the yoghurt and double cream whilst stirring. Bring to the boil.
  • Gently add the Parmesan whilst continuing to stir. For extra cheesy stickiness continue to add more Parmesan!

As an extra treat, particularly if you have had a hard day's work, why not grill garlic buttered ciabatta- an ideal accompaniment to your Naughty Pasta. Now, sit back, clink your glass of ice cool Pinot Grigio and dig in! It's time to enjoy this tasty, succulent dish which, perhaps most importantly, is easy and quick to make- perfect hard working couples and families.
